About Us

Our Dairy Extension program mission is to help farmers and business owners in New York State and beyond to produce safe, healthy, and wholesome foods.

Our dairy extension program focuses on supporting the production of safe and high quality dairy products with specific expertise in microbial spoilage and food safety issues. Our program offers an extensive set of workshops that lead towards certificates in fluid milk production, cheese production, membrane filtration and separation, and production of other fermented dairy products.

For questions or assistance, please submit the form below. For individuals and processors outside New York State, consulting will be offered at an hourly rate. Successful completion of a Dairy Foods Extension workshop allows out-of-state companies a limited amount of included consultation. If further assistance is required, please consult your local land-grant university.
